About Me

I am a psychotherapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy for adolescents and adults, maintaining a private practice in Madeira Beach, FL.

With over 20 years experience as a therapist, and as a graduate of PUC RS., Brazil specializing in Organizational and Clinical Psychology, my areas of expertise are life crisis, eating disorders, body dysmorphic disorder, substance abuse, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, phobias, marital and relationship problems (including GLBT issues).

I also offer Life and Executive Coaching.  Through Life Coaching I will help you identify and achieve personal goals by guiding you in developing a personal plan of action.  Executive Coaching is focused on identifying professional barriers caused by unconscious personal/family factors, this process aims to develop and improve communication and leadership skills.

My intensive professional training and education, allows me to combine a psychoanalytical vision with cognitive-behavioral interventions in a humanistic and empathic approach. I believe in the uniqueness of individuals and therefore in the flexibility of techniques in a sensitive and non judgmental style. I am very dynamic utilizing humor and analogies to help clients visualize their problems in a more concrete and manageable way.

I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal and professional life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
